Finding Holloway Cemetery in Etoniah Creek State Forest

Holloway Cemetery

Holloway Cemetery

I found this old cemetery while exploring in Etoniah Creek State Forest. It is called Holloway Cemetery or also known as Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery. There are only a few marked graves and several unmarked graves at this cemetery. I am not sure who keeps this place up but it was in good condition.

I had searched for this place a few times before but was unsuccessful in my attempts. Not far from the area are some old fence posts and a few metal posts sticking out of the ground. I originally thought that this may have been the cemetery just with missing markers.

I can’t find much history on the cemetery but it appears to date back to around 1900. I searched around the area looking for remains of a homestead or church but didn’t see anything on this visit. I hope to go back and explore further to see what I can find. Check out my videos and some photos posted below.
